Winter Garden Care

Here's Great Tip No. 1:  Inspect your yard for winter damage.  If a branch or limb is obviously dead - snapped, dry or blackened - clip or saw it off.  Make your cuts flush with branch bark collar.  And if you are not sure that a branch is dead, wait a few more weeks.  A dormant limb can look dead but still have life in it.

Here's Great Tip No. 2:  Planning a big project or installation this year, such as new patio, a water garden or pool-side makeover?  It's not too soon to start researching the idea and getting design ideas.  And if you think you will need some help, line up somebody right now - before their calendar fills up.

Best Thing to Do:            Book your Next Spring/ Summer Yard Make-Over with your landscaper early!   Avoid being last on the list and settling for less-experienced landscapers to do your last-minute yard improvements before the kids get back for spring break or family gatherings.
